MY Will returns!
After a long hiatus due to COVID, the My Will project is back, providing simple wills for low income senior citizens in the Midlands. This joint project of the SC Bar Pro Bono Program. Midlands Council on Aging and the USC School of Law Pro Bono Program has been a huge success!
Using a simple will template and a questionnaire, student volunteers will team up with pro bono lawyers to draft and execute simple wills. Sorry 1L’s you have class on Friday mornings.
Sign up is easy! https://signup.com/go/kScwfvh. Template will be sent to you a few days before each event. Dress is business casual. Bring your laptop with the template loaded

Sorry for the last minute notice but I just received some of this information.
Seeking a “client” with…
a bit of an acting skill. Professor Lisa Martin with our Domestic Violence Clinic is seeking a volunteer “client” for a simulated interview exercise. The students in the Clinic will be participating in a mock interview seeking an Order of Protection. “ This could be a good opportunity for a person with an interest in legal responses to Domestic Violence, legal interviewing, and/or what students learn and do in clinics.
The interview will take place on August 18th from 2:30 to 4ish. If you can help out please contact Professor Martin
Associate Professor of Law
such a wonderful number, 3 legged races, 3 sides to a triangle, 3rd stimulus check!!!
In our case, 3 is the number of volunteers we need for a mini-Blitz! A blitz is an opportunity to work alongside pro bono attorneys as they draft responses to questions asked by the public.
The Lexington County Bar is holding such a blitz on June 17th from 3-5.
You could be one of the 3 volunteer law students for this project, just sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0445a8a82ea1fc1-lexington
